A Story Steeped in Sound
The story of multinational hip-hop trio (Isam Bachiri, Lenny Martinez and Waqas Qadri)
Outlandish began in Copenhagen's western suburbs in 1997. Outlandish's music became known as a
"socio-cultural melting pot." The group's debut disc, Outland's Official, was well received by critics and
their grassroots audience alike, The first single Walou quickly became a smash hit creating waved across europe.
2 years later they released Bread & Barrels of Water
(Guantanamo and Aicha) Outlandish charted with established international pop stars on Top 40 lists across the globe, followed by extensive touring and eventually gold and platinum record status. In 2005 the band created their most stylistically versatile record yet.
Closer Than Veins touched new depths of musical creativity,
as well as political and social consciousness. Songs like Look into my eyes,
I only ask of God and especially one of their biggest hits Calling You
raised their profile.
The following years Outlandish released 2 albums
Sound of a Rebel and the latest Warrior//Worrier.
Singles from these albums such as Rock All Day, Feels like saving the world,
Ready to love and Warrior have become favourites amongst fans.
In 2017 the band took a break from recording and touring.
Waqas and Lenny started working on music together again in 2019 and have since reestablished Outlandish as a duo. they have released 4 singles since, This Moment, Root For You, Let It Go, Higher and What About Love.
The guys are touring extensively in Denmark as well as abroad.
The singles Paperchase and Leyla from Outlandish 6th studio album The CornerShop Carnival have been released.
